Research Institute of Chemical Advanced Materials
The original Dyestuffs Research Institute, officially became the Research Institute of Chemical Advanced Materials in 2011. Its primary areas are research on synthesis of dyes, organic pigments, advanced materials and chemical engineering, lubricating oil, related auxiliaries and commercialization process and applications as well as R&D of intermediates and other functional fine chemicals. The institute is the largest, most complete and integrated dyestuffs research organization in China nowadays. In the past 60 years, the technical achievements of various types of dyes, organic pigments, textile dyeing and printing assistants, dye intermediates that researched and developed by SYRICI have been marketed extensively and applied in commercialized production. These have played important roles in developing the national economy and enriching material and cultural lives of the people. In recent years, the institute has promoted the technical progress and enterprise development via technical cooperation with related enterprises in China. The researches on fine materials, functional materials, lubricating oil, chemical engineering application and amplification of chemical progress, etc.
More than 60 prizes of provincial level or ministerial level have been obtained successively, including 10 National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology award and 50 provincial/ministerial awards. The institute has applied for and authorized 150 patents for invention of professional discipline.
Dye National Engineering Research Center
In Sep 2012, according to document No 1896 "Reply about National Engineering Research Center Innovation Ability Construction" from National Development and Reform Commission, the project that carried by Research Institute of Chemical Advanced Materials had been approved. The project aims to become the most complete, with highest technology, dye innovative platform, common technology development platform, Industrialization technology transformation platform, which will increase the ability of dye scientific achievements transformation and facilitate the technical progress of our dye industry. In Nov 2012 we were rewarded as National Engineering Research Center outstanding performance by National Development and Reform Commission.
Dyestuffs & Pigment Research
We mainly engaged in the fine chemicals research and development and industrialization study like: dyestuffs, organic pigment, intermediate, auxiliaries. In the past 60 years, the institute has provided various industrial process technologies for the national dye and pigment industry in the field of organic pigment, reactive dyes, disperse dyes, acid dyes, direct dye, vat dye, solvent dyes, fluorescent brightener, etc. The institute has undertaken important key projects from 6th five-year plan to 13th five-year plan and many provincial and municipal projects, which realized the industrial transformation. The preparative technology of the reactive dyes magma has resolved coloured wastewater discharge during the productive process of the reactive dyes and realized the zero release. This technology offered powerful technical support to the national dye industry’s healthy development. The research institute is the first to finish the organic pigment development and industrialization study of benzimidazolone pigment, azo pigment and perylene series pigment. The production technology of fluorescent brightener by the institute has always support the position in the international market.
Our emphasis is placed on research on anhydrous printing and dyeing chemicals and its applied technology, research on applied technology of logos and anti-fake products and research on applied technology of non-toxic chemicals. In the future we’ll offer special and functional products and technical service in the field of oil industry, coating industry, agrochemical industry, light textile, printing and dyeing, petroleum, etc.
Functional Materials Research
We mainly engaged in the research and development of waterborne polyurethane, anticorrosive paint, printing and dyeing auxiliary, surfactant, functional chemicals, special intermediate of medicine and dye. The research teams undertake more than 10 projects annual of national level, provincial level and municipal level. We also accept scientific research tasks from home and aboard and other enterprises. All of the tasks have been realized the commercial process, which makes our research team enjoy high reputation.
In 2016, we cooperated with Sinochem Quanzhou Petrochemical Company on the R&D of lubricants. The major research direction includes optimization of engine lubricant formulation, performance evaluation of lubricant, and development of high performance lubricant additives. The R&D platform of lubricant has possessed test and pilot scale ability. In 2017, the lubricant testing platform has been qualified by CMA Metrology Accreditation and can provide third party testing services, including the physical and chemical performance analysis and simulation experiment of lubricant.
We mainly engaged in chemical engineering and application of chemical process amplification study, the institute has successfully developed various kinds of chemical engineering technology, such as micro reactor, jet circulation, three-phase flow, rotating packed bed, static mixer, impinging stream reaction technology, they are applied in diazotization coupling, catalytic hydrogenation, catalytic oxidation and other important reaction, solving the essential safety problems of hazardous process, research on continuous and cleaning process of products that have a major impact on the industry. The technology of high efficiency Gas-liquid Phase Oxidation based on the loop reaction technology takes a leading position in China.
Dyestuff Information Centre
The centre mainly carries on collection, organization and research of the dyestuffs industry information. It's in charge of the Society of Chinese Dyes and Colorists (CIESC) and the National Dyestuff Industry Information Centre. Dyestuffs and Coloration, dye information materials and manuals are edited and published by the centre.
